High-altitude terroir meets refined complexity

  • Cultivated at 400 metres on limestone-rich soils, this vineyard benefits from the distinctive conditions of elevated Burgundian terrain. The calcareous substructure encourages refined acidity and layered aromatic development, hallmarks of this site's character.
  • Jean-Marie Guffens employs meticulous vinification, selecting the finest free-run juice to preserve the wine's natural acidity and fruit purity. This careful approach safeguards the delicate balance essential to the vintage's expression.
  • Sixteen months of élevage in a combination of oak cask and concrete vessel allows the wine to develop harmonious structure and measured maturation. This mixed-vessel approach yields a wine of considerable elegance and textural refinement.

Rated 93/100 by La Revue du Vin de France. Jean-Marie Guffens has crafted a compelling red wine of considerable depth, balancing rich aromatics with a structured palate that develops gracefully in the glass. A wine of genuine complexity and poise.
