Where terroir and grape varieties achieve harmony

  • This 2020 Saint-Emilion displays a commendable length on the palate, revealing the careful balance achieved through its Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The wine's structure supports a sustained finish that speaks to the quality of the vintage and the vineyard's expression.
  • A refined assemblage of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine demonstrates the classical approach to Saint-Emilion winemaking. The two varieties work in concert, with the Merlot providing richness and the Cabernet Sauvignon contributing structure and complexity.
  • This is a versatile wine suited to a range of dishes. It pairs naturally with roasted poultry, game, and red meat preparations, whilst also complementing a selection of cheeses. Its balanced tannins make it equally approachable as an accompaniment to everyday meals.

Breeding
Vinification in small concrete vats. The cap is pressed down during fermentation to gently extract the richness of the grapes, whilst minimising pump-overs.
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with an intense, lustrous appearance
On the nose
The bouquet reveals layers of red fruit with subtle secondary notes. Persistent aromas suggest a wine of some complexity, with hints of ripe berries and a delicate lactonic undertone that adds refinement.
In the mouth
A generous attack leads to a well-structured palate where fine tannins and the wine's natural acidity create balance. The finish is notably persistent, demonstrating the wine's capacity to develop and sustain flavour through the glass.
M. Francois
This wine serves well alongside roasted duck, chicken, or pork dishes. It also pairs admirably with cheeses such as Morbier, mature Gouda, or goat's cheese. The wine's structure and balance make it a natural companion to both simple and more elaborate preparations, offering flexibility at the table.
