In the mouth
A complex and elegant wine with fine balance throughout. The attack is broad and confident, with good volume and weight. Richness and refinement persist through to a clean, persistent finish.
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of red and dark fruits. Mature, concentrated tannins provide structure and promise further development. Secondary notes of earth and spice emerge with aeration.
On the eye
Deep ruby colour with excellent clarity and luminosity
Breeding
18 months in French oak barrels
This wine pairs well with poultry and lamb, as well as red meat dishes. It would also complement berry-based desserts and pastries. Drink now or cellar for a further five to seven years to allow the tannins to soften and secondary flavours to develop.
