A convivial Beaujolais from vines of character

  • Created in 1986 in collaboration with Jean Brouilly, the celebrated chef from Tarare, this cuvée captures the essence of approachable, food-friendly Beaujolais. Ideal for relaxed entertaining and everyday enjoyment.
  • The wine expresses the freshness of red berries—cassis and blackberry notes—with an appealing gourmand quality. Organic viticulture ensures purity of fruit without unnecessary intervention.
  • Beaujolais tradition meets modern sensibility. This is a wine that respects its roots whilst remaining accessible and unpretentious—perfect alongside charcuterie, terrines, and convivial gatherings.

Product features : Domaines Chermette - Beaujolais Origine Vieilles Vignes 2022

Breeding
Brief ageing in old oak foudres and stainless steel vats to refine the tannins whilst preserving the fruit character
On the eye
Purple-hued robe with youthful vibrancy
On the nose
Aromatic clarity with fresh red fruit notes: cassis and blackberry predominate, with subtle floral undertones characteristic of well-tended old vines.
In the mouth
Crisp and lively on the palate, with fine tannin structure that remains unobtrusive. The wine is refreshing and easy to drink, yet possesses sufficient depth for contemplative appreciation.
M. Francois
This is Beaujolais as it should be: unpretentious, fruit-forward, and genuinely pleasurable. The old vines contribute subtle complexity beneath the immediate appeal. A gem for those who value authenticity and food compatibility over fashionable extraction. Excellent with charcuterie, soft cheeses, and lighter meat dishes.
