Twenty years of elegance and complexity in a distinguished Tawny

  • Quinta do Bom Retiro, nestled in the Douro Valley, represents one of Ramos Pinto's most celebrated estates. The high-altitude vineyards on schist soils yield grapes of exceptional quality, producing Ports of considerable finesse and character.
  • After two decades in oak, this Porto has developed remarkable aromatic complexity. Dried fruits—walnuts and almonds—mingle with caramel, candied orange peel, honey and fine wood, whilst retaining admirable freshness and well-integrated acidity.
  • This 20 Year Old Porto suits those who appreciate complex, mature sweet wines. Drink it now with pleasure, or lay it down for several more years as it continues to evolve gracefully in the cellar.

Product features : Ramos Pinto Porto Rouge Arp Quinta Bom Retiro 20 Ans

In the mouth
Velvety and silken on the palate, with remarkable depth and richness. Dried nuts, figs, caramel and chocolate are balanced by spiced notes and bright acidity that cuts through the sweetness. The finish is long and refined, with lingering wood and preserved fruit.
On the nose
Intense and layered bouquet dominated by dried fruits—almond and hazelnut—with caramel, toffee and candied orange peel. Fine wood and subtle spice notes, with a whisper of cocoa, complete the aromatic profile.
On the eye
Deep amber hue with golden highlights, characteristic of aged Tawny Porto
Breeding
Aged in oak casks for 20 years in the cellars of Ramos Pinto, conferring dried fruit aromas, precious wood notes and distinctive complexity
M. Francois
A Tawny of considerable sophistication and balance. This Porto excels alongside nut-based or chocolate desserts, aged cheeses, or simply as a contemplative digestif. Its evolved aromatics and silken texture will appeal to those who appreciate refined, mature Ports. The interplay of richness and freshness makes it particularly rewarding at the close of a meal.
