WINE | RED WINE | BORDEAUX | SAINT-EMILION GRAND CRU
Bottle of : 0.75L

Premier Grand Cru Classé since 2012

  • A harmonious marriage of Merlot's lustre and Cabernet Franc's refinement. The terroir of Saint-Émilion's limestone plateau expresses itself through mineral precision and structural elegance.
  • In youth, the wine displays generous dark fruit, silken tannins of surgical precision, and an immediately enveloping palate. Powerful yet refined, it rewards immediate appreciation.
  • With bottle age, complexity unfolds gracefully. Expect an intensifying bouquet of truffle, forest floor, tobacco leaf and subtle spice—a wine that evolves rather than fades.

Breeding
16 to 18 months in French oak barrels (approximately 50% new wood).
On the eye
Deep purple-black robe, nearly opaque, with violet and luminous reflections. Phenolic concentration and acidity are impeccably balanced.
On the nose
Vivid dark fruits—cassis, wild blueberry, blackberry—lead to a pronounced mineral signature of chalk and pencil shavings. Liquorice, violet and black truffle emerge, with discreet oak-derived spice.
In the mouth
Dense, broad attack with immediate enveloping richness. Monumentally structured yet athletic. Tannins of remarkable precision: abundant yet silken, without a trace of hardness.
M. Francois
This wine's architecture and mineral definition suit beef empanadas with chorizo particularly well. The wine's acidity and tannin structure cut through richness whilst its dark fruit complements the savoury spice. A pairing that demonstrates how Saint-Émilion's limestone terroir creates wines of both power and refinement.
