A classified growth since 1855, worthy of patience
Owned by the Rothschild family since 1970, Château Clerc Milon benefits from the same exacting standards applied across their portfolio of distinguished Bordeaux properties. The estate's commitment to quality and terroir-driven winemaking is evident in every vintage.
The Carmenère varietal contributes considerable character and roundness to the blend, adding textural depth and a distinctive aromatic signature that distinguishes this wine from its peers in the Pauillac appellation.
This is a wine of considerable structure and ageing potential. Whilst approachable in youth, it will reward those with patience, developing further complexity and refinement over the coming years.

In the mouth
Silken and velvety on the attack, with considerable depth and elegance. The mid-palate is rich and suave, expressing cassis and blueberry character supported by refined, enrobed tannins and pleasing freshness. The finish is harmonious, lingering with persistent fruited and mineral notes.
On the nose
A complex aromatic palette unfolds, mingling macerated dark fruits with liquorice and cedar notes. The bouquet is layered and evolving, revealing additional nuances as the wine opens.
On the eye
Deep cherry-red with garnet highlights, presenting an appealing intensity of colour.
An excellent accompaniment to beef fillet with seasonal vegetables. The wine's structure and tannin profile complement grilled or roasted preparations particularly well. Consider decanting thirty minutes before service to allow the aromatics to fully express themselves.

PAUILLAC CINQUIEME CRU CLASSE
