The strength and elegance of Pauillac in a characterful second wine

  • The second wine of the prestigious Château Pichon Longueville Baron, Grand Cru Classé. Les Griffons expresses the full elegance and power of Pauillac's terroir whilst remaining more approachable than the grand vin, offering an ideal entry to this emblematic estate's quality.
  • Built on a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is structured and powerful yet refined, with fine-grained tannins and considerable depth. Merlot contributes roundness and fruit character, tempering the Cabernet's force and achieving a harmonious balance between power and finesse.
  • Les Griffons rewards drinking in its youth, thanks to well-integrated tannin structure and vibrant fruit aromatics. It possesses genuine cellaring potential, developing greater complexity over time—leather, forest floor, and truffle notes emerging with age.

Les Griffons de Pichon Baron is a second wine of considerable elegance, articulating Pauillac's terroir with clarity. Its aromatic richness, refined tannins and silken structure make it an ideal companion to red meat, game and mature cheeses. More accessible than the grand vin, it permits immediate enjoyment of Pichon Baron's excellence whilst retaining genuine cellaring potential. A fine Bordeaux that exemplifies balance between power and refinement.
