Breeding
Aged in wooden barrels with 14 to 18 months' élevage in underground cellars.
On the eye
Deep purple-black colour, impenetrable and concentrated.
On the nose
Intense bouquet marked by dark berries, black plum, and subtle spice notes, with a delicate floral undertone that develops with aeration.
In the mouth
Enveloping and silky on the palate with refined tannins. The liquorice note emerges gracefully, balanced by ripe fruit and a measured acidity that sustains the finish.
M. Francois
An excellent accompaniment to charcuterie, red meat dishes, and sauced preparations. Particularly suited to beef daube, braised game, and quail with grapes. The wine's structure and elegance allow it to enhance rather than overpower the table.

CLOS FOURTET

Situated on the astéries limestone plateau at the heart of Saint-Émilion, Clos Fourtet covers 19 hectares and has held Premier Grand Cru Classé B status since 1955. Originally a medieval fortified position known as Camp Fourtet, it took its present name in 1868. Acquired by the Cuvelier family in 2001, the château produces structured reds from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon on expressive argilo-calcaire soils. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the precision of its élevage, the coherence of its classic Bordeaux style, and the clarity with which its plateau terroir speaks through every vintage — a cellar wine, structured, elegant, and a dependable Right Bank reference.
