CHATEAU LA CONSEILLANTE
Situated on the eastern plateau of Pomerol, bordering Saint-Émilion, Château la Conseillante spans 12 hectares of clay-gravel soils over a characteristic iron-oxide subsoil. Founded in the 18th century by Catherine Conseillan, the château passed to Louis Nicolas in 1871 — who went on to co-found the Syndicat Viticole de Pomerol in 1900 and serve as its first president, a distinction that carries real weight in an appellation without an official classification. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the precision of its encépagement — 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc — and for the rigour of an approach certified both HVE and ISO 14001. An essential reference for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of Pomerol.
