The Médoc's most storied estate

  • A wine of considerable structure and depth. The 2021 displays generous tannins with a silken texture that speaks to careful élevage and the château's mastery of Cabernet Sauvignon-based blends.
  • Classified as a 4ème Cru in 1855, Château la Tour Carnet commands respect within the hierarchy of Bordeaux's greatest properties, a distinction earned through consistent quality across generations.
  • This is a wine conceived for the table. Its balance and intensity make it an ideal companion to roasted game, lamb, and aged hard cheeses—a true wine of gastronomy rather than mere drinking.

In the mouth
Broad and intense on the palate, with silken tannins that frame the wine's natural power. The fruit remains vivid throughout, whilst the structure and length speak to a wine built for the cellar and the dining table alike.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with fresh red fruit—cherry and plum—before evolving towards riper, more confected notes. A subtle vanilla undertone, the mark of judicious oak ageing, adds refinement without dominating.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with violet and black reflections, suggesting both maturity and depth.
Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels for 16 months (30%) then in stainless steel vats (70%).
M. Francois
Château la Tour Carnet rewards those who understand wine as an accompaniment to fine food. Serve it with roasted guinea fowl, a leg of lamb, or a substantial red meat dish. It pairs beautifully with aged mountain cheeses—Comté or Beaufort—where its tannins and acidity find their perfect foil.
