Breeding
Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 48 hours. Traditional parcel-by-parcel vinification in concrete and steel vats. Three-week maceration and 12-month barrel ageing.
On the eye
Deep cherry-red robe with attractive luminosity.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with fresh floral notes—notably violet—complemented by subtle spice. The aromatics are clean and inviting, suggesting a wine of good breeding.
In the mouth
The palate shows blackberry and cherry fruit with understated oak influence. The tannins are refined rather than aggressive, and the wine finishes with commendable length and a refreshing mineral quality.
M. Francois
A versatile table wine that pairs naturally with roasted red meats, poultry, and game. The structure and balance make it equally suitable for lighter preparations. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, decanted briefly before service.

CHATEAU DU GLANA

Situated in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle at the heart of the Médoc, Château du Glana extends across 59 hectares of classic Garonne gravels — a terroir ideally suited to the structured reds of the Saint-Julien appellation. Built in 1870 on parcels originally belonging to Château Saint-Pierre, the château was acquired in 1961 by Gabriel Meffre, who expanded it significantly with land from Château Lagrange. Today, Julien and Ludovic Meffre continue that rigorous approach, blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to produce reds of genuine Médoc character. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages and the textbook typicity it delivers across one of the Médoc's most reliable appellations. A Saint-Julien of real substance, true to its terroir.
