Product features : Joseph Burrier Macon-Solutre-Pouilly 2020

Breeding
Approximately 10 to 12 months. Predominantly in stainless steel vats to preserve the fruit typicity and terroir minerality, with occasionally a small proportion aged in old barrels to add richness.
On the eye
Pale gold. Notes of white flowers—acacia and hawthorn—with fresh citrus: lemon zest and grapefruit pith.
On the nose
Expressive white fruit aromas: pear and peach, with subtle mineral undertones that speak to the limestone-rich soil of the appellation.
In the mouth
Straight and finely chiselled, with elegant structure. The wine coats the palate with restraint and precision, entirely free of heavy oak influence. A model of Burgundian refinement.
M. Francois
Joseph Burrier's Macon-Solutre-Pouilly exemplifies precision winemaking. Here lies the true distinction of Chardonnay on calcaire: a wine that consistently surpasses its appellation through directness and complexity. Ideal for those seeking Burgundian elegance without the occasional heaviness of more opulent crus. Pairs beautifully with fish in sauce, poultry, and quenelles.

DOMAINE JOSEPH BURRIER

Rooted in the Mâconnais, Domaine Joseph Burrier produces white Mâcon from Chardonnay grown on the clay-limestone soils characteristic of southern Burgundy, farmed to certified organic standards. The Burrier family has been present in this vineyard since 1469 — over five centuries of unbroken presence in the same region — with Frédéric-Marc Burrier today carrying that continuity forward through environmentally committed viticulture. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision and mineral tension of its Chardonnays, and for the long-term seriousness of its organic approach. A reliable reference for anyone wishing to explore the Mâconnais at its most authentic.
