Breeding
12 to 15 months in oak barrels (approximately 25-30% new oak)
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with violet highlights
On the nose
Aromatic intensity centred on dark berries—blackcurrant and blackberry—with toasted and grilled notes. A mineral backbone of limestone marl provides freshness and structure.
In the mouth
The attack is frank and fresh, with sour cherry at its heart. Well-integrated tannins provide structure without heaviness. The finish is persistent, mineral and fruited, with pleasing freshness throughout.
M. Francois
A wine of balance and restraint, suited to roasted poultry and red meat dishes. The mineral character and integrated structure suggest it will develop gracefully over the coming years. Serve at 16°C to appreciate its complexity fully.
