In the mouth

Aged in 100% French oak barrels.
This wine demonstrates the quality of Giscours' terroir. Serve with roasted beef, duck confit, or game; it pairs beautifully with mushroom preparations and aged hard cheeses. The wine will develop further with bottle age, though it is approachable in its youth.

Château Giscours is a wine estate in the Margaux appellation (Bordeaux), classified Third Growth in the 1855 Classification. Area: 80 hectares. Owned by the Albada Jelgersma family since 1995. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (42%), Cabernet Franc (4%), Petit Verdot (1%). Gravel soils. 18th-century château. Ample, elegant wine of fine depth.
