In the mouth
Silky tannins provide a refined texture, whilst the palate displays notable complexity and richness. Good weight and balance, with a persistent finish that echoes the fruit and mineral character.
On the nose
Powerful aromas of dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—with subtle notes of cassis and a whisper of violet. The bouquet develops with air, revealing hints of graphite and cedar.
On the eye
Dense, deep garnet robe with excellent clarity and concentration
Breeding
Aged in 100% French oak barrels.
M. Francois
This wine demonstrates the quality of Giscours' terroir. Serve with roasted beef, duck confit, or game; it pairs beautifully with mushroom preparations and aged hard cheeses. The wine will develop further with bottle age, though it is approachable in its youth.
