DOMAINE JEAN-MICHEL GAUNOUX
Established in Meursault at the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux works 6 hectares of clay-limestone and stony soils, producing both white and red wines under the Meursault appellation. Rooted in a winemaking lineage stretching back to 1875, Jean-Michel founded his own estate in 1990 after working alongside his father François; his son Henri now carries the same exacting standards forward. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision and depth of its Chardonnays on clay-limestone terroir, their genuine ageing potential, and the recognition bestowed upon them by Robert Parker Jr., who counted the estate among his Côte de Beaune favourites. A quietly authoritative address in Meursault, well worth exploring in our Burgundy selection.
