In the mouth
Ample and powerful on the palate, with prominent black cherry aromatics and firm tannin structure. The wine shows good concentration and a persistent finish, with excellent balance between fruit and structure.
On the nose
Intense and complex bouquet revealing ripe red fruits, floral notes and subtle spice. The aromatics unfold with aeration, revealing layers of cherry and mineral character.
On the eye
Brilliant deep garnet, with excellent clarity and luminosity
Breeding
One year in barrel (25% new oak) followed by two to four months in tank
A wine of considerable merit with red and game meats, particularly beef and venison. Also pairs excellently with roasted poultry and rich preparations. The structure and power suggest cellaring potential of ten to fifteen years for those with patience.
