Brilliant ruby, with good depth of colour and clarity
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits dominate—blackcurrant and plum—with secondary notes of black pepper and a whisper of oak spice. The aromatic profile is clean and well-defined.
In the mouth
Powerful and structured, with good flesh on the palate. The tannins are firm yet integrated, providing a framework for the fruit without dominating. A wine of substance and balance.
This wine pairs naturally with game and braised meats—hare with endive, beef côte—but also works well with Mediterranean fare and mature cheeses. Its structure and depth make it suitable for cellaring a further five to eight years, though it drinks well now.

Les Vins de Vienne is a wine merchant founded in 1996 by Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard in Chavanay (Loire). Specialising in terroir wines from the Northern Rhône Valley. Appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas. Grapes: Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne. Pioneering the revival of the Seyssuel vineyards.
