On the eye
Golden-yellow robe, bright and crystalline with excellent clarity.
On the nose
Rich and inviting. Quince paste dominates, complemented by hawthorn blossom and verbena. The nose speaks of mature vines and minerality.
In the mouth
Full-bodied and complete. The clay terroir contributes texture and density, whilst maintaining freshness. A wine of substance and refinement, with the wisdom of eighty-year-old vines.
Clos du Moulin represents the perfect bridge between tension and stone minerality. More accessible in youth than its prestigious neighbour, yet possessing remarkable completeness. This is gastronomy-focused Chenin: vibrant, elegant and rarely seen at such quality. Pairs beautifully with anchovy preparations, sea bream tartare, Thai prawn salads and poultry dishes.

Domaine des Roches Neuves is a wine estate in the Saumur-Champigny appellation (Loire Valley), run by Thierry Germain. Around 28 hectares farmed biodynamically. Main grapes: Cabernet Franc (reds) and Chenin Blanc (whites). Limestone tuffeau soils. Cuvées: Terres Chaudes, Marginale, Franc de Pied. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
