In the mouth
The palate reveals fine structure with well-integrated tannins of good maturity. There is a pleasing tension between fruit and mineral backbone, with a finish of proper length and definition.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with clarity and complexity: red and dark stone fruits predominate, with secondary notes of spice and subtle earth that speak to the vineyard's character.
On the eye
Deep, brilliant ruby with excellent colour intensity and clarity.
Breeding
Aged on lees for 16 to 18 months, including 12 months in oak barrels.
This wine pairs naturally with roasted poultry and seasonal vegetables, or with game birds prepared simply to allow the wine's character to shine. The balance and elegance make it equally at home with lighter meat courses or, indeed, as a wine of contemplation on its own merit.
