The power and refinement of Pauillac in a second wine of true character

  • The second wine of the prestigious Château Pichon Longueville Baron, Grand Cru Classé. Les Griffons expresses the full elegance and power of Pauillac's terroir whilst remaining more accessible than the grand vin—an ideal introduction to this distinguished estate's quality.
  • Built on Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is structured and elegant, with refined tannins and considerable depth. Merlot contributes roundness and fruit, tempering the Cabernet's power and achieving a harmonious balance between strength and finesse.
  • Designed for near-term enjoyment thanks to its well-integrated tannin structure and bright fruit aromatics, Les Griffons also possesses genuine cellaring potential. With time, it develops greater complexity—leather, forest floor and truffle notes emerging gradually.

M. Francois
Les Griffons de Pichon Baron is a second wine of genuine elegance, offering a refined expression of Pauillac's terroir. Its aromatic richness, fine tannins and silken structure make it an excellent companion to red meat, game and mature cheeses. More approachable than the grand vin, it allows immediate enjoyment of Pichon Baron's excellence whilst retaining the capacity to develop further complexity over several years in the cellar. A fine Bordeaux that exemplifies the balance between power and refinement.
