Northern inspiration meets southern fruit: la Redonne

  • A lively and refreshing white wine that captures the essence of the northern Rhône. This organic cuvée combines structure with approachable charm, offering genuine pleasure without pretension.
  • A harmonious marriage of Viognier and Roussanne, two noble varieties of the Rhône Valley. The blend showcases the distinctive character each grape brings: aromatic generosity from Viognier, mineral refinement from Roussanne.
  • Fresh, well-balanced, and food-friendly. This wine reveals itself through layers of white stone fruit and subtle honeyed notes, finishing with the crisp acidity that defines the northern Rhône style.

In the mouth
The palate is fresh and well-structured, with good acidity providing lift and definition. White stone fruit flavours persist through a clean, mineral finish.
On the nose
An inviting bouquet of white peach and citrus blossom, with delicate honeyed undertones and a whisper of white pepper that speaks to the wine's mineral terroir.
On the eye
Pale straw yellow with a bright, luminous quality.
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with simply prepared fish—particularly sea bream en papillote—and lighter vegetable-based dishes. Its freshness and balance also make it an excellent aperitif wine. The organic farming practices at Domaine Jean-Luc Colombo are evident in the wine's purity and natural expression.

DOMAINE JEAN-LUC COLOMBO

Planted on the steep granite slopes of Cornas in the Ardèche, Domaine Jean-Luc Colombo farms 6 hectares of Syrah under organic certification, with yields held firmly below 20 hl/ha. Founded in 1984 by Jean-Luc Colombo — a pivotal figure in the modernisation of the Cornas appellation — the estate produced its first vintage of Les Ruchets in 1987. Since 2010, Laure Colombo has led the winemaking, steering the estate through its conversion to organic farming, with full certification achieved in 2015. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its work on granitic terroir, the precision of its Syrah, and the consistency of a demanding family approach. A benchmark for lovers of serious red wines from the Vallée du Rhône.
