  • Château Le Sartre benefits from the gravelly soils of one of Bordeaux's most distinguished appellations, where conditions favour the production of wines of genuine character and ageing potential.

In the mouth
The palate offers ripe red fruit, violet and toasted notes. The tannins are present but integrated, with a structure that suggests this wine will develop further in bottle over the coming years.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals layered aromas of dried fruit, cedar and tobacco leaf, with earthy undertones and a whisper of spice. The nose speaks of age-worthiness.
On the eye
Deep, dark garnet robe with subtle brick-coloured rim development.
Breeding
Aged 12-14 months in oak barrels, of which 30% new, imparting fine oaked complexity and refined structure.
M. Francois
A wine of classical Bordeaux character, suited to roasted poultry, lamb, and game. Decant thirty minutes before service. Best enjoyed at table with food, where its balance and depth become most apparent. A considered choice for the serious collector.
