Certified organic Jura producer since 2010

  • Domaine Berthet-Bondet stands as a recognised authority in Jura wines. This producer has earned its reputation through meticulous viticulture and traditional winemaking practices rooted in the region's distinctive terroir.
  • Macvin is a traditional Jura aperitif combining two-thirds fresh grape must with one-third marc eau-de-vie. This classical assembly creates a wine of considerable character and depth, balancing sweetness with underlying complexity.
  • The palate reveals an elegant interplay between honeyed sweetness and lively acidity. The finish remains crisp and refined, avoiding any cloying quality, with a persistent warmth that lingers pleasantly.

Product features : Domaine Berthet-Bondet Macvin

Breeding
Aged two to three years in oak
On the eye
Deep golden-amber robe with brilliant clarity. The colour suggests maturity and concentration, with warm, sun-like reflections.
On the nose
Aromatic intensity centres on warm spice notes, candied orange peel, and delicate acacia blossom. The bouquet is inviting without being heavy, suggesting both fruit and spirit in harmonious balance.
In the mouth
Initial sweetness gives way to a vibrant, zesty finish. The structure is well-defined, with good acidity preventing any heaviness. The wine displays the characteristic warmth of marc eau-de-vie without dominating the palate.
M. Francois
This Macvin pairs beautifully with apple-based desserts, particularly tarte Tatin, where its spiced sweetness and crisp finish complement the caramelised fruit and pastry. Also excellent as an aperitif or with blue cheese. Serve chilled.
