In the mouth

On the nose
Generous, inviting bouquet. Dark red and black fruits mingle with subtle confected notes, underpinned by a delicate smokiness and liquorice character.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe, full and lustrous.
Breeding
Ageing in stainless steel vat for one year
This is a wine that rewards patience. The structure and aromatic complexity suggest five to eight years of graceful development ahead. I recommend it particularly with grilled meats — lamb or beef — where its dark fruit and mineral backbone will shine. A genuine expression of Anjou terroir, and one I return to regularly.
