Breeding
Aged 18 months in oak barrels (50% new), imparting delicate woody aromas and well-integrated tannin structure
On the eye
Deep purple robe, almost black, with garnet highlights.
On the nose
Intense bouquet of dark fruits—plum and blackberry—with violet, liquorice, leather and spice notes of pepper and clove.
In the mouth
Generous attack with fine, well-integrated tannins. Flavours of ripe dark fruits, garrigue and black pepper, with liquorice and dark chocolate undertones. Long finish with good minerality and sweet spice.
A wine of considerable depth, at once powerful and refined, embodying the distinctive character of Gigondas terroir. Complex aromatics, silky tannins and length make it ideal with rich meat dishes, game and mature cheeses. Excellent cellaring potential, evolving gracefully to reveal greater complexity and textural refinement. A distinguished choice for those who appreciate robust yet elegant Rhône wines.

Domaine Brusset is a family wine estate in Cairanne (Vaucluse), southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1947. Around 90 hectares of vines. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier.
