In the mouth
Balanced and round, with a generous mid-palate and lingering finish. The tannins are well-integrated, allowing the wine's natural charm to emerge without aggression or excess.
On the nose
Ripe dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—interwoven with spice and earthy undertones of forest floor. The aromatics speak of the granite terroir beneath the vines.
On the eye
Deep black robe with youthful intensity
Breeding
18 months in oak barrels. Blending of different vineyard parcels prior to bottling
Serve with beef—a paleron or côte de boeuf—duck confit, or veal. The wine's structure and fruit intensity make it equally compelling with game: venison, wild boar, or the more unusual ostrich. Decant young bottles to soften the tannins; this is a wine that rewards patience.
