In the mouth
The palate balances weight with liveliness. There is sufficient body to carry the fruit, yet the acidity remains bright and defining. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving no heaviness.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with clarity and refinement. Redcurrant and raspberry lead, followed by subtle grapefruit notes and a whisper of white flowers. The aromatics speak of freshness and careful handling.
On the eye
Pale salmon-pink in colour, with a delicate, translucent appearance.
Breeding
Aged on lees for 3 months with regular stirring.

Serve this wine with grilled tuna steak or a traditional Provençal daube, where its acidity will cut through richness. It also pairs beautifully with beef fillet prepared simply. The organic credentials and fruit-forward character make it a wine of genuine substance, not mere fashion.

CHÂTEAU VIGNELAURE

Château Vignelaure is an estate in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation, in Rians (Var). Founded in 1966 by Georges Brunet. Around 55 hectares. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache, Vermentino. One of the first Provençal estates to introduce Cabernet Sauvignon. Characterful red and rosé wines. Available at Les Halles de Quercamps.
