Product features : Maison M. Chapoutier – Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge Croix de Bois 2014

In the mouth
Unctuous and full-bodied, with warm, well-integrated tannins that provide structure without harshness. The palate shows excellent balance between ripe fruit and savoury herb notes, with a persistent, elegant finish.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and blackberry preserve dominate, with secondary notes of garrigue, white pepper, and a subtle mineral edge that speaks to the vineyard's limestone-rich soils.
On the eye
Deep, intense red with garnet undertones
Breeding
Ageing in vats for 14 to 16 months
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with game dishes of substance: a pheasant terrine with truffles, duck civet with cèpes, or herb-roasted farmyard pigeon. The wine's structure and depth complement rich, earthy flavours admirably. Also excellent with aged hard cheeses.
