Saint-Émilion elegance: tradition and finesse in perfect balance

  • Château Trottevieille occupies one of Saint-Émilion's most distinguished positions on the plateau, where argilo-calcareous terroir yields wines of remarkable depth. The combination of Merlot and mature Cabernet Franc vines produces wines characterised by complexity and structure.
  • The blend is anchored by Merlot, which contributes roundness and ripe fruit character, whilst older Cabernet Franc vines provide structure and freshness. This harmonious marriage creates a wine of power and elegance, marked by considerable finesse.
  • Classified 1er Grand Cru Classé B, Trottevieille is recognised for its capacity to age gracefully. With time, the wine develops secondary aromas of forest floor, truffle and leather whilst retaining admirable freshness and aromatic depth.

Château Trottevieille represents the finest of Saint-Émilion: a wine of genuine elegance allied to power, with admirable finesse throughout. The aromatic richness, well-integrated tannin structure and overall balance make this a wine of real distinction. It rewards drinking young for its vibrant fruit, yet will develop considerable complexity over several years in bottle. Excellent with red meats, sauced dishes and aged cheeses. An essential choice for those who appreciate the refinement and ageing potential of great Saint-Émilion.
