Product features : Maison M. Chapoutier - Ermitage Blanc de l'Oree 2015 — Hermitage

In the mouth
Rich and unctuous, with pronounced minerality and considerable intensity. Ripe stone fruits—peach and pear—intertwine with honey, roasted hazelnut and spiced bread notes. The finish is lengthy, with a subtle iodine and saline character.
On the nose
A complex and captivating bouquet. White flowers, exotic fruits, honey and beeswax mingle with subtle notes of sweet spice and white truffle, revealing considerable aromatic depth.
On the eye
Luminous golden hue with amber reflections, indicating concentration and richness
Breeding
12 months in demi-muids (600-litre casks), with part of the wine aged in stainless steel to preserve aromatic purity and mineral tension
M. Francois
Maison M. Chapoutier's Ermitage Blanc de l'Oree unites power, refinement and complexity in a single expression. It demonstrates the Marsanne's full capacity on Hermitage's granitic terrain. Dense and opulent, it unfolds with considerable aromatic breadth and evolves gracefully in bottle, gaining complexity over time. Suited to refined fare—lobster, truffle-enriched poultry, aged cheeses—it will reward serious collectors and those seeking wines of genuine character and longevity.
