The second wine of Château Monbrison, from the heart of Arsac's gravels

  • This is the second wine of Château Monbrison, crafted with the same rigour as the grand vin. It offers the refined character of Margaux without the weight, displaying the elegance that defines the appellation.
  • A wine of considerable finesse, Bouquet de Monbrison balances new oak with dark red and black fruits. The palate shows pleasing roundness, well-integrated tannins, and a persistent finish of small red fruits.
  • The 2014 vintage demonstrates genuine evolution in bottle. Early drinking reveals its delicate structure; cellaring allows the wine to develop further complexity and integration over the coming years.

Product features : Bouquet de Monbrison 2014 — Margaux

In the mouth
The palate is rounded and harmonious, with well-defined tannins that are neither aggressive nor austere. A persistent finish of small red fruits and subtle spice lingers pleasingly.
On the nose
The bouquet displays considerable finesse, with a measured balance between oak and dark red and black fruits. The aromatics are restrained and classical, speaking to the wine's Margaux provenance.
On the eye
A fine ruby robe, clear and bright, with good depth of colour.
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with game birds and venison, where its structure and acidity provide balance. It also suits vegetable terrines and well-aged hard cheeses. Drink from 2020 onwards; the wine will continue to develop through the 2030s.
