Margaux elegance from a Third Growth of distinction

  • Château Giscours represents the classical virtues of Margaux: a wine of poise and refinement that speaks to the property's long-standing commitment to quality. The 2017 vintage demonstrates the balance and finesse for which this Third Growth is respected.
  • This wine reveals the characteristic harmony of the appellation—dark fruit aromatics supported by a structured palate and measured oak influence. The result is a wine of considerable breeding, built for patient cellaring and contemplative drinking.
  • The terroir of Margaux finds authentic expression here, shaped by the property's gravelly plateau and the careful stewardship of its vineyards. Each vintage reflects the accumulated knowledge and dedication of generations of winemakers.

Product features : Château Giscours 3ème Cru Classé 2017 Margaux

Breeding
15 to 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new barrels)
On the eye
Deep garnet, with good intensity and clarity
On the nose
Black fruits—cassis and plum—with secondary notes of cedar and graphite. The bouquet develops with air, revealing hints of violets and subtle spice from the élevage.
In the mouth
The palate is refined and structured, with silky tannins and good concentration. The mid-palate shows real depth, whilst the finish is persistent and dry, with a mineral quality characteristic of the finest Margaux.
M. Francois
A wine of considerable grace, well suited to game dishes—particularly venison and duck—and to beef in sauce. The structure and complexity will reward bottle age, though the wine is approachable now for those who appreciate Bordeaux in its youth. Decant thirty minutes before service.
