The pinnacle of Burgundian elegance and structure

  • This Grand Cru from one of Burgundy's most distinguished vineyard sites offers remarkable intensity and complexity. The 2020 vintage demonstrates the calibre of winemaking at Domaine Fabien Coche, with the characteristic finesse that defines the finest Gevrey-Chambertin expressions.
  • The wine balances considerable power with refined elegance. Deep red and black fruit aromas mingle with floral and spiced notes, whilst the élevage in oak contributes subtle layers that will continue to evolve over decades in the cellar.
  • A wine of genuine stature, suited to the table of serious collectors. Pair with game, beef in rich sauces, or mature cheeses. This is a Grand Cru that rewards patience and will develop beautifully over the coming years.

Product features : Domaine Fabien Coche Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2020

In the mouth
Black cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours develop alongside forest floor, truffle and leather notes. The structure is firm yet elegant, with a complexity that will unfold gracefully as the wine matures.
On the nose
Complex and refined bouquet: red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant) and violet lead to earthy undertones and subtle spice. Oak ageing introduces restrained notes of vanilla and cocoa that integrate seamlessly with the fruit.
On the eye
Dense ruby robe with garnet reflections; deep and concentrated, characteristic of fine Pinot Noir built for the cellar.
Breeding
18 to 20 months in oak barrels, with approximately 30% new wood, imparting elegant structure and well-integrated oak aromas
M. Francois
A wine of genuine stature and considerable ageing potential. The aromatic complexity and structural integrity suggest it will be majestic in its youth whilst remaining profoundly rewarding over the next two to three decades. This is a Grand Cru for occasions of real significance.
