Ample and crisp, the attack is clean and direct, revealing roasted hazelnut notes. The finish is rich and complex, with iodine character and subtle herbaceous bitterness—muscat and box wood—that lingers gracefully.
On the nose
Fresh yet mature, the bouquet offers honeyed and citrus notes with hints of menthol and acacia, followed by aromas of dried fruit, meadow mushrooms and iodine. With aeration, beeswax, spice and lemon emerge.

DOMAINE ALPHONE MELLOT
Domaine Alphonse Mellot is a wine estate in the Sancerre appellation (Loire Valley). One of Sancerre's oldest winemaking families, spanning 19 generations. Around 50 hectares farmed biodynamically. Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc (whites) and Pinot Noir (reds). Cuvées: La Moussière, Génération XIX, Edmond. Flint (terre blanche) and limestone (caillottes) soils.
