Cette appellation est un joyau de la viticulture française. S'étendant sur la rive droite du Rhône, elle touche une cinquantaine de communes ardéchoises et quelques-unes dans la Loire. Dominée par le cépage Syrah, cette appellation donne naissance à des vins rouges intenses et profonds. Ceux-ci charment par leurs arômes de fruits noirs, d'épices et occasionnellement de violette. Les vignes bénéficient d'un climat continental adouci par le Rhône, conférant aux raisins une maturité et une expression inégalées.
